Born in Mexico, Joel always manages to get carried away by form and colour. His creative work has always been characterized by his search for cutting-edge cuts and colours, as well as his predilection for the elegant and bold. He is the perfect designer for women who want to break with classic designs without abandoning femininity and elegance.
He studied at The Center of Studies Gestalt (Design and Fashion Marketing) in Veracruz and graduated from the Corregidora de Querétaro in Mexico City. He has been a distinguished participant in Fashion International View, Fashion Week Mexico, and Week of Hispanic Culture at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana. He has also worked on projects for The Urska Dance School in Ljubljana, The store opening of Selther in Mexico, the artists of Cirque du Soleil, Extravaganza and Yo Tango in Mexico, and others.
In the theatre he has designed for such productions as Scherezada, El Canto del Hombre, Witches of Salem, Projecto Shakespeare for the National Theatre Company, The Barber of Seville, El retablo del maese Pedro and Turando for the Palace of Fine Arts in Mexico City. In television he has garnered acclaim for his costuming work in several soap operas.
